Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, Bootsy Collins, became one of the top bassists of all time. He first drew attention playing with his brother, Catfish, behind James Brown, and later with Parliament-Funkadelic. The lifelong Cincinnatian (b. 1951) also founded the 1970s funk-rock group Bootsy’s Rubber Band, producing such raucous hits as the chart-topping “Bootzilla.”
